Hot Rod Kit Car
How to Build Fiberglass Hot Rods, Cutoms, and Kit Cars by Tex Smith, How to Build Fiberglass Hot Rods, Customs, and Kit Cars
Build and Detail Model Cars Like a Pro by Terry Jessee, This generously illustrated guide to assembling, detailing and customizing model cars presents ten chapters covering plastic model kits ranging from muscle cars and lowriders to race cars, hot rods and pickups. Each project addresses a different set of techniques representing skill levels that grow more advanced as the book progresses. From assembling and painting a muscle car right out of the box to building a hot rod complete with fuel lines and plug wires, as the reader finishes each project he or she develops an understanding of the skills necessary to utilize laser-etched parts, assemble hinged doors and hoods, apply metal foil for chrome finishes and execute custom paint and decal finishes. Step-by-step photos -- including 100 in color -- illustrate all of the skills and techniques described.
Hot rod - Hot rods are older, often historical, cars. Originally the term was used to the practice of taking an old, cheap car, removing weight (usually by removing roof, hood, bumpers, windscreen and fenders), lower it, change or tune the engine to give more power, add fat wheels for traction and paint it to make it stand out. Hot Rod Lincoln - "Hot Rod Race", or "Hot Rod Lincoln", was one of the first Rockabilly Rock and Roll songs ever to make the charts. First recorded as "Hot Rod Race" by Arkie Shibley and His Mountain Dew Boys in late 1950, the song reached #5 on the country charts. My Red Hot Car - "My Red Hot Car" is a single by Squarepusher, released in 2001 on Warp Records. The lead track on the single is actually "My Red Hot Car (Girl)", a somewhat more accessible mix of the track than the one that appears on the album Go Plastic and as the second track here. Tales of Hot Rod Horror - Tales of Hot Rod Horror is a graphic novel anthology featuring work By Rick Geary (Victorian Murder Mystery Volumes), David Quinn (Faust), Attaboy (I Hate Cartoons), Devon Devereaux (Graphic Classics), Christopher (The Ghoulie Boys), Andy Ristaino (Life of a Fetus), Adam Gallardo (100 Girls), and many other talented artists and writers. Volume 1 features 14 original stories that have their own unique take on a supernatural Hot Rod theme.
